Miami River: New Waterfront Condos For Sale or Rent

The Brickell Miami River area has arrived. With fifteen condo towers nearing completion and multiple restaurants along the Riverwalk, the Miami River area is the defintion of urban renewal, in the best sense of the phrase.

What makes the current condo development along the Miami River interesting is that it's the result of several events. The dredging schedule which makes the area more attractive to prospective buyers; the national trend toward "urban infill," the low interest rates that have kicked the overall real estate market into high gear and, perhaps most importantly, the availability of government funding ($7.5 million) for the Riverwalk.

Long before the dredging started, Neo Concepts had already begun to transform the riverfront, with Neo Lofts and Neo Vertika.

Many of the planned units will be taken up by large projects, the largest of which will be the 13.5-acre parcel referred to as Riverfront. It will be a secure, gated community of six condos, including "Wind," "The Ivy,", "Mint," plus two others. When completed, Riverfront is expected to include 2,000 units; 60,000 square feet of retail space; and 200,000 square feet of office space in a planned 21-story office tower.

Once the River Walk is fully completed, residents really will be able to walk to restaurants and attractions. Sixteen new restaurants that will lead directly onto the River Walk have already been permitted, taking their place alongside long-time favorites like Big Fish, Perricone's, and Finnegan's River.
