Mandarin Oriental Residences Condos For Sale

Swire Properties unveiled plans for two luxury towers on Miami's Brickell Key with Mandarin Oriental branding.

One Island Drive will consist of two towers. The first would be the 800-foot-high Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami. The 220 condo units would have two to four bedrooms, with the largest about 4,700 square feet. The building will be capped with a pair of penthouses, each more than 6,000 square feet. Prices start at $3.5 million.

The second tower will replace the current Mandarin Oriental Miami hotel at 500 Brickell Key Drive. Swire developed that 326-room hotel in 2000. At about 400 feet high, the new hotel would be the North American Mandarin Oriental hotel and feature 151 hotel rooms, 61 private residences and 28 condo-hotel units. Swire said the current Mandarin Oriental, Miami would operate at least through 2024 before being demolished.

The new Mandarin Oriental towers would be connected by a 100,000-square-foot amenity deck featuring pools, cabanas, work lounges, private dining rooms, restaurants, a spa and a health club.

SWire is working with New York-based Kohn Pederson Fox Associates as the project's architect, plus Tristan Auer of Paris as interior designer for the condos. Swire also worked with Greenberg Traurig attorneys Samantha Ahuja, Nancy Lash and Joel Maser on the project, including negotiations for the hotel and residential management, branding and licensing deals.
