The Miami Beach oceanfront sales launch party for the Canyon Ranch Living complex in the North Beach neighborhood drew an expectedly large crowd. What’s not to like?? Perfect March evening weather in Florida, cool breezes along 1000 feet of Atlantic Ocean beachfront, a new sales team from Majestic, four bars, dozens of wandering servers with trays of delectable culinary treats, a multimedia show on the white walls around the pool, hundreds of guests and a brand new sales center in the old Golden Sands Motel. And to top it off… everyone (the staff) was dressed in white. Reminiscent of Miami during the disco-nights seventies… Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons move over.
The Canyon Ranch Living complex will feature four buildings along the ocean including the renovated Carillon Hotel, which, by the way, was Hotel of the Year in 1957! My wife and partner, Lynda Stone, tells me this was the hot spot for Miami area high school proms in the early 60’s! Construction is underway and completion is expected in late 2007 for the south towers and 2008 for the north towers. With state-of-the-art technology and the Canyon Ranch Living experience, this may be just the right spot for some serious relaxation.
Carefully removed some fifty blocks from clamorous South Beach, this project will feature a 60,000 foot spa and attract the more introspective, meditative, hey-lets-get-some-new-health-habits-going crowd… and lo and behold there are still some residences available! Can you say… “well-priced”?
Canyon Ranch Living is a major anchor in the redevelopment of North Beach, which includes Belaire on the Bay, NoBeBay and Regatta… to name a few. Much of the neighborhood is protected from development by height restrictions so the few taller projects built here will have fantastic 360 degree views of the ocean, bay and city lights.
