Paseo de la Rivera is an innovative mixed-use and pedestrian-friendly project that will include a hotel, residences, retail, restaurants, public art displays and parking. The site at the corner of U.S. 1 and Caballero encompasses 2.66 acres (115,870 square feet) and is currently occupied by Holiday Inn. To design Paseo de la Riviera, developer NP International joined forces with two renowned architectural teams: Coral Gables architect and preservationist Jorge L. Hernandez and the leading international firm Gensler.

Featuring Coral Gables' distinct Mediterranean architecture and an open-air walk way, or "Paseo" in Spanish, the project is designed to complement the surrounding area and enhance connectivity and walkability.

The 325-foot long, 72-foot wide signature paseo offers 22,397 square feet of open space. The area is nearly the size of Merrick Park in front of the Coral Gables City Hall (24,000 square feet), three times the size of the Fewell Loggia and Plaza of the Coral Gables Museum (7,381 SQ. FT), and 70-percent of the size of "restaurant row" on Giralda in Downtown Coral Gables.

Ideally located with easy access to public transportation hubs such as the University Metrorail station and poised to capture the connectivity promised by a new pedestrian overpass and planned Underline, Paseo offers a unique opportunity for young professionals seeking to shed their cars for a more pedestrian-oriented way of living within the Coral Gables community.
